We want to assure everyone that we take your health and well-being seriously, and we also want to protect our staff from infection too.
What we will do
We will continue to undertake our work using appropriate PPE such as gloves, dust masks, hand sanitiser, as well as adopt increased cleaning, washing and sterilising. Our technicians will be taking their body temperature each day, and as soon as it increases they will be home isolated as per directions and expectations from the Health Department.
We don’t anticipate any direct contact with you when we visit your home to undertake servicing and other work.
What we want you to do
Should you, or any of you family, contract Covid19 we expect you to notify our office so we can best determine the next course of action. There is some, small risk to our workers as the virus can be transmitted through faeces and wastewater, and this is particularly concerning if the virus becomes airborne due to effluent movements through the system.
Those who have a greywater system have two options.
Firstly divert to sewer or septics if your family contracts Covid19.
Secondly, if the risk or incidence of Covid19 is very low, do nothing. Continue to use the system to irrigate your gardens.
Those with rainwater systems that are plumbed into your house.
It would be highly unlikely that a virus could enter a tank and into your home. However, if you drink your tank water there are two options.
Install a whole house filter (has sediment and carbon filters) with UV light disinfection.
Secondly, consider boiling the water, allow to cool in a well-covered., sealed bottle, place on the fridge and use that for drinking.
Let’s all work together to pass through this difficult time, and if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact our office on 9295 6263.
We are taking sensible measures, doing our part to flatten the curve of COVID-19.
